| William Currie 1831-? | |
Born: 6 Feb 1831, third son of James Charters Currie and Rosanna Clement. Christened at St Vincent Street Scotch Church, Stepney on 20 Mar 1831. Life: In 1855 , at the time of the death of sister Rosanna (#2), William was in Australia (therefore age 24) along with elder brother James, age 29. It was William who sent a letter (part of which is lost) home from the Cape on the way back from Sydney via Shanghai in 1856. He was working as a steward on board the sailing barque Amigos. It is possible that he was living in London in 1863 when Alexander mentions in a letter going to tea at Wm's. After this we hear no more of William. Died:
