Born:

1781 Robert Corrie b Jan 14, bapt. Jan 18, third child and first son of William Corrie, tenant farmer at Hollows, Torthorwald, and Margaret Kirkpatrick. Probably called after Margaret's father Robert.

Life:

Left £30 by his uncle John Kirkpatrick, farmer of Parkside, in his 1819 will. He also seems to have inherited his fathers farm tenancy at Hollows, Torthorwald, mentioned in the births of his 9 (at least 9) children from 1818-1831, Mary 1818, Margaret 1821, John 1823, William 1825, Jean 1828 and James 1831.

Died:

Died at Torthorwald in 1846 aged 65

Margaret Corrie daughter of the above died at Niantic 18th December 1898 aged 77 years interred in Rivers Bend Cemetery Rhode Island USA".
