Life:

In 1881, age 21, medical student at London University.

Went to South Africa as army doctor and was in the Boer War.

1895 married Sara Gubbins and lived in Maritzburg (now called Pietermaritzburg).

Had 3 children (possibly 4): Jack, (Jessie Mar 1900), Aileen and Basil.
