Life:

Married John Dobie in 1807 at Torthorwald: “1807 John Dobie, Wright Oxgangfoot, to Mary Corrie daughter of Mr Corrie Hollies. Wed at the manse on Mr McMillan's aut. He being indisposed. Therefore no charge”

Left £60 and share of linen by her uncle John Kirkpatrick, farmer of Parkside, in his 1819 will. Stipulations put on her share so that her husband John Dobie does not get any of the money - to go to her sons if she predeceases him. Sons are William Alexander Dobie and John Dobie (b 3 Apr 1812).
